The short answer

It imports PDF and DOCX, works in more than 20 languages, translates into more than 30, and exports PDF and TXT.

What it does well

The analyzer is the product: it flags clichés, repetition, vague wording and bullets with no number, and scores a resume against a posting with a to-do list. Tailoring shows every change highlighted and lets you accept or reject each one, which is the right design. Its pages state a position on invented claims: the homepage says tailoring is built from your real experience only, with no hallucinations or invented facts, that every rewrite stays grounded in your experience, and that when a line needs a number the tool cannot know it inserts a placeholder rather than a figure. It says it never shares your data with third parties or trains AI models on it, and that you can export or delete it. Its free plan gives full access for seven days.

Where it goes wrong

The promise is stated; the mechanism is not. Nothing on the pages we read describes a check of the output against your record, and no line in the output carries a source, so you cannot see which fact a rewritten bullet came from. Its AI page also says the strengths tool can add quantifiable metrics that align with what the company is looking for, and that the bullet tool adds measurable results, which is at least a reason to ask where a number came from before keeping it. The homepage says a mix of OpenAI, Claude, Gemini and Deepseek models hosted in the EU; the AI page says OpenAI's ChatGPT; read both. There is no Word export, only PDF and TXT. After the seven free days, downloads need a paid plan, and the free plan carries Enhancv branding and a cap on section items.

What CitedCV does

CitedCV is a grounded, zero-hallucination AI CV builder. It writes only from facts you provide: a form, a PDF, DOCX or TXT file read in your browser, or your answers to interview questions. The writing model (MiniMax M3) receives the confirmed facts and nothing else; those facts are the source of truth, and every bullet carries the ids of the facts it was written from.

1. List every number in the draft and write its source next to it: a report, a payslip, a dashboard, a contract. No source, no number.
