CV format by country
A photo is common on a CV in Germany and usually left off in the UK, where official advice is to leave out age and other personal details too. Each country has its own habits for length, personal details, the order of sections, the cover letter and how a foreign degree is shown.
Every guide here is about one country and is built from that country's own sources: its public employment service, its immigration authority and its degree recognition body. Where a visa, a licence or a recognition step changes what the CV has to show, the guide says which and links the official page.
